The confirmation came from Sanjay Gokhale, Media Executive of FIA-NE, who shared that this year’s celebration will be the organization’s most diverse and dynamic yet—with representatives from over 20 countries participating in a vibrant show of global unity. A Parade with a Purpose The theme for this year’s parade is: “United World, Shared Dream: Peace, Prosperity & Progress,” – a tribute to visionary leaders across nations and generations. Inspired by the legacies of President George Washington, the founding father of the United States, and Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, one of India’s most revered freedom fighters, the event highlights the enduring bond between the two great democracies. Honoring the Iron Man of India Adding to the significance, the parade will also commemorate the 150th Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, popularly known as the Iron Man of India. A dedicated float will be featured in his honor, symbolizing unity and national integration—values he championed throughout India’s freedom struggle. A Celebration of Culture, Community & Convenience Held at Christopher Columbus Park, the event will showcase: · Beautifully decorated parade floats representing Indian states and global cultures · A roundtable discussion with celebrities and dignitaries · Flag hoisting ceremonies honoring veterans, seniors, and community leaders · Scholarship awards to exemplary youth · Marching bands, cultural performances, and a cultural bonanza · Delicious Indian cuisine and a wide array of vendor stalls · Free pick-and-drop service from below three nearby parking locations to the parade venue, confirmed by FIA Executive Vice President Nikhil Wadhwa Free & Affordable Parking Options Near the Venue: To make it easy for attendees, FIA-NE encourages using the following free or budget-friendly parking spots, all within walking distance: 1. Street-Meter Parking – Free on Sundays (~0.2–0.3 mi) 2. Post Office Square Garage – ~$9 flat rate on Sundays (~0.3 mi) 3.
