India Day 2025: Festival of Nations – 

A Cultural Kaleidoscope to Dazzle Boston!

As India celebrates its 78th year of independence, the India Association of Greater Boston (IAGB) invites you to be part of one of New England’s most iconic cultural celebrations – India Day 2025, happening on Saturday, August 16th from 3:00–7:00 PM at The Hatch Shell.

Tanu Phoenix, IAGB President, shares:
“This year’s theme, ‘Festival of Nations – A Cultural Kaleidoscope,’ beautifully reflects IAGB’s unwavering commitment to building bridges across communities. It is a vibrant tribute to unity in diversity - a celebration that brings together Indian and non-Indian ethnic groups in a shared expression of culture, connection, and creativity. Through this, we aim to honor our heritage while embracing the many voices that enrich our collective story.”

“A cultural showcase like no other,” says India Day Cultural Coordinator Anagha Singh.

Anagha adds, “Get ready to be captivated by a spectacular lineup of performances that beautifully reflect the spirit of unity in diversity. Audiences will experience:

• Graceful Indian classical, folk, and contemporary dances
• Vibrant cross-cultural fusion acts
• Pan-Asian and global artistic collaborations
• Inspiring youth-led and intergenerational performances

Each act is thoughtfully curated to celebrate harmony, inclusivity, and the rich cultural mosaic that defines our community.”

IAGB Vice-President Nilesh Agrawal shared, “The grand finale of the evening will be a live concert by the high-energy band Din Check,” shared IAGB Vice President Nilesh Agrawal. He added, “The atmosphere will truly come alive as Greater Boston’s favorite band takes the stage with their electrifying blend of Bollywood hits, retro classics, and dynamic fusion music. It’s the perfect crescendo to a day filled with culture, community, and celebration.”

“A vibrant marketplace with 25+ vendors will infuse the celebration with unparalleled energy and charm, right by the picturesque Charles River,” shared IAGB Treasurer Deepak Garg.

He added, “Attendees will have the opportunity to explore a bustling open-air bazaar, where culture meets commerce. Discover a curated collection of:

• Handcrafted ethnic treasures
• Artisanal goods and unique cultural merchandise
• Valuable community resources and local services

IAGB Secretary Manish Bhowmick shared, “No Indian celebration is truly complete without delicious food at its heart! We're excited to bring that joy to India Day with a mouthwatering spread of Indian cuisine, generously offered by our official food partner, The Treasury Indian & Greek Kitchen.
