Global Peace Secretariat celebrates Ice Dancing Champions on Olympic Day
Global Peace Secretariat celebrates Ice Dancing Champions Meryl Davis and Charlie White of Team USA, on IOC Olympic Day June 23rd 2025 for spreading global harmony by being the 1st ever in Olympics history to perform to Indian Bollywood music at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics, which they went on to win the gold medal at. Their program was set to iconic Bollywood songs like " Kajra Re", "Silsila Ye Chahat Ka" and "Dola Re Dola".
Secretary General Kumu Gupta met the Ice dancing duo in Boston in 2011 and had this to say...
" Cannot express the overwhelming feeling of joy and pride I felt, seeing Meryl and Charlie perform so beautifully on ice, in traditional Indian clothing with such grace and poise on the world stage".
Olympic Day 2025 is being celebrated by the International Olympic Committee in collaboration with World Health Organization WHO with the theme "Let's Move", shining a light on benefits of playing sports and working out together.
