RIHTS: Rath Yatra

Our scriptures reveal that Lord Jagannatha is the Supreme Lord, referred to as Paramatma, Purushottama and Parama-Brahman. He is the Avatars from whom emanate all the Divine Avatars in various Yugas. As He is the Lord of the whole Universe, He comes out of his Temple on this Sacred occasion so that all beings in the Universe desirous of seeking His Grace can have his Darshan. Moreover, as He is the Lord of one and all, this Holy Yatra unites all humanity in participating in this great festival transcending all distinctions of colour, creed,, religion and nationality. It is a scared opportunity for us mortals to seek His Grace for our own welfare as also for the welfare of the entire humanity and all beings on our blessed planet.
