May 28 is the birth anniversary of Veer Vinayak Damodar Savarkar (28 May 1883 – 26 February 1966). He is better known as the promoter of the idea 'Hindutva', although the term was introduced much earlier by Chandranath Basu in his Bengali book (1892) titled "Hindutva: হিন্দুত্ব'. 

Kanchan Banerjee's new book presents the Veer of Bharat from a true historical perspective. He also discuss how Chandranath Basu's Hindutva and Savarkar's Hindutva were similar or different.
