Press Release 04/11/2025
Organized by New England Sri Raghavendra Swamy Brundavana (Rayara Matha) in collaboration with New England Kannada Koota (NEKK), the concert attracted devotees from across the region. Rayara Matha, a cultural and spiritual hub, has long been dedicated to promoting Haridasa compositions and fostering unity within the community. Setting the tone for the evening was Sumeru, a young protégé whose exploration of Carnatic music made her an ideal host. With grace and enthusiasm, she welcomed the audience and prepared them for an unforgettable musical journey. As Sri Vidyabhushana Guru Ji took the stage, his mellifluous voice filled the hall with clarity and devotion. His renditions of compositions by Sri Purandara Dasa and others transported the audience to a realm of divine bliss, leaving many visibly moved. Supporting him were gifted musicians: Sri Srinivasa Sastry, Sri Sandeep Bhadravati, Sri Karthik Damodar, and Sri Ranjan Kumar Beura. Their impeccable coordination enhanced Guru Ji’s performance, creating a seamless and harmonious experience. Highlights of the evening included “Krishna Nee Begane Baro,” rendered with such tenderness that the audience felt the presence of Udupi Krishna. Equally captivating was “Kandena Govindana,” expressing the pure joy of encountering the divine. The success of the evening underscored the dedication of Rayara Matha to nurturing devotion and cultural enrichment. With its ongoing efforts to promote Dasa Sahitya and strengthen the community’s connection to Sri Hari Vayu Gurugalu, Rayara Matha continues to inspire generations.
