India Conference at Harvard 2025 on Feb. 15-16, 2025 was a huge success. It was an sold-out event with over 1000 attendees. In its 22nd year of operation, the Co-Chairs of the conference were Ayush Shukla, Kartik Sahni, Arpit Garg and Sanchie Shroof. The media coordinator was Ritul Madhukar. The theme of the conference was 'From India To The World'.
As in the past, the two-day event was split between HKS and HBS. Day 1 focussed on topics such as Journalism and Media, Capital Markets, Indian Constitution, Women and Global Health. Day 2 primarily focussed on Going Public, AI, Space, Indian Brands, and chats wih
Sabyasachi Mukherjee and Nita Ambani.
Pallavi Pareek of Ungender said, "Leadership and mandate related to women's issue happen at the Board level (revenue center) and not at Human Resources level (cost center). With allocated budget, comes discussion on ROI and things move."
Harsh Lal, The Souled Store, talked about the move to 'Everything Asian' today in Rise of Homegrown Consumer Brands. While supply chain and logistics have become easy to navigate, marketing is becoming very expensive.
Mitul Tapliyal, Microsave Consulting, talked about sharing of educational certificates, digital signatures and verification of credentials.
'The Indian consumer today is looking at wellness with spirituality while traveling and on vacation. Fancy gadgets in hotels is not as appealing as it used to be' Ashutosh Goyal, Ananta Hotels and Resorts.
The Start-up pitch competition was very received and focussed on applications of AI to P-Tal.
Sabyasachi Mukherjee focussed on his humble beginnings, treating people and employees with empathy and compassion, and staying focussed on the goal.
The conference ended with a fireside chat featuring Nita Ambani and Notin Nohria which touch on a variety of topic such as her passion for cricket, arts, education, Olympics, weddings, and India's heritage.
