Jaishree Deshpande, who received her MSc in Physics in 1975, and Prof. Ramesh K. Sitaraman, who recieved his B.Tech in Electrical Engineering in 1985, have been named as Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras Distinguished Alumni for 2025.
Jaishree Deshpande is the Founder of Deshpande Foundation, USA, while Prof. Ramesh K. Sitaraman is currently a Distinguished University Professor and Associate Dean at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, USA.
