Global Peace Secretariat presents VHPA with Special Citation
for spreading harmony with Ram Mandir Rath Yatra

Global Peace Secretariat presented Vishwa Hindu Parishad of America (VHPA) with a Special Citation for spreading harmony, peace and blessings with the 800+ temples Shri Ram Mandir Rath Yatra, distributing prasad directly from the Ayodhya Ram Mandir Opening Ceremony.

“I thank Kumu Gupta and the Global Peace Secretariat for presenting a Special Citation of Recognition to Vishwa Hindu Parishad of America (VHPA).  As American Hindus celebrate the historical reconstruction of the mandir at the birthplace of Shree Ram in Ayodhya, VHPA is spreading the timeless message of Shree Ram, the primacy of the dharma, righteousness in all spheres of life, equality regardless of our outward differences, and respect for all to 850 Hindu temples in the US and through that to all Americans, not just Hindus.  We sincerely believe that this yatra will bring about global peace.”

“It's an amazing feat to bring fresh prasad in a “Kalash” all the way from Ayodhya U.P.’s newly opened Ram Mandir in India to each and every of the 800+ temples in America and that too driving across States by car. I got my prasad over the weekend when the Ram Rath Yatra drove across Massachusetts and what a blessing and exhilarated feeling that was “ said Secretary General Kumu Gupta.

In present time, we are so lucky in America to have a growing community of Hindu Americans who come from many different countries and ethnic backgrounds not just India like Trinidad, Canada, Germany, America and others  and by doing this Rath Yatra, VHPA initiating this tremendous road journey across America on their own initiative  with an all volunteer group of devotees has brought all the global communities within US together in prayer and blessing.

Resurrecting Ram Mandir in the original place it was back in 12th Century, originally built by Lord Ram’s son Kush in 2nd Century, with solid proof of relics found during archaeological digs, is an historic marvel and fascinating as well as fantastic connection to ancient civilization in world history. And similar findings of Dwarka city relics underwater with Lord Krishna’s statues and buildings has left us in a “daze” hard to break.
