INSTANT OATS DOSA
Whisked together with rice and buttermilk, the oats dosa spiced with green chillies, coriander leaves and cumin seeds, is really delicious.

Ingredients
2 cups oats
2 tbsp rice
Buttermilk/Yogurt (enough to soak and cover the oats)
2 green chillies
A pinch of asafoetida
Water as required
2 tsp finely chopped coriander
1 tsp cumin seeds (optional)
Salt to taste

Method
1) Add the rice and oats into a bowl carefully seeing to it that all the husk if any is removed. To this add buttermilk or yogurt and allow it to soak for 20 minutes.
2)  When soaked, pour it into a blender and grind well.
3)  Add salt, asafoetida, chopped green chillies, coriander and a little water to get the dosa batter consistency.

4)  Heat the girdle and start making dosa. Please note, this dosa will not be crisp. It will be a little soft but very tasty. Savour it with coriander chutney.


Moong Dal Pesarattu with Oats and Flax Seeds
 
This South Indian Tiffin takes a new twist with oats and spiced with green chilies, and cumin seeds, is really delicious.

Ingredients
2 cups Moong dal
2 tbsp Oats
1 tsp flax seeds
 3 green chillies
1 inch piece ginger
Water as required
2 tsp finely chopped onions
1 tsp cumin seeds
Salt to taste

Method
1) Add the moong dal and oats into a bowl . Soak for 6 hours
2)  Pour it into a blender and grind well.
3)  Add salt, flax seeds, cumin seeds,chopped green chillies, ginger and a little water to get the dosa batter consistency.
4)  Heat the girdle and start making pesarattu.Add the chopped onions and turn on both sides till cooked. Enjoy with coconut chutney.
