January Secretary General Kumu Gupta nominated for Nobel Peace Prize.

* Secretary General Kumu Gupta invited to unveiling of The Embrace,  Rev. Martin Luther King & Coretta Scott King sculpture on Boston Common with Special Guest Dr. King’s son Martin Luther King III.

* Global Peace Secretariat attends Stanford MLK-Gandhi Institute’s MLK Day Film Festival.

*Global Peace Secretariat marks 75th Ann. Mahatma Gandhi Martyrdom Day with Pre Parliament of World Religion’s virtual program with US State Department’s inaugural MLK- Gandhi Exchange Program batch as special guests.

February Global Peace Secretariat announces eminent Gandhi, King Scholar Advisors.

April Global Peace Secretariat pays tribute to 96th birthday of Mrs. Coretta Scott King ( wife of Dr. King) with a violin performance of ‘ Lift Up Our Voice and Sing ‘ under The Embrace sculpture.

June Secretary General Kumu Gupta invited Speaker at global Gandhi -King-Mandela conference ( 130th Ann. Mahatma Gandhi Train incident) in South Africa. ‘Global Peace & Violence Against Women “.

*Global Peace Secretariat welcomes Miss USA MA Anika Sharma as Spokesperson.

*Global Peace Secretariat marks International Olympic Day ( International Olympic Committee IOC) in collaboration with The Chicadees, first all women’s Cricket team in US.

August/September Hindu University of America offers Ahimsa, course on non violent communication , introduced by Global Peace Secretariat, for Summer & Fall Semester.

*Secretary General Kumu Gupta proposes Congress submit Bill to award Mahatma Gandhi Congressional Gold Medal posthumously and make Diwali a national holiday.

*Global Peace  Secretariat re launches globalpeacesecretariat.com website due to old platform shutting down after 12 yrs being with them.

October Global Peace Secretariat Marks 1 year Anniversary.

*Secretary General Kumu Gupta receives US House of Representatives Proclamation paying tribute to global peace work from U.S. Congressman Shri Thanedar ( Michigan).

* Global Peace Secretariat presents it’s inaugural Peace Champion Award to Global Youth Researcher’s Group leader Miss Nigam, Delhi, India.

* 1 year Anniversary virtual program was also event in Hindu Heritage Month calendar.

 November Secretary General Kumu Gupta makes history by having WBZ TV, CBS Boston to show Diwali Diya on Diwali Day weather forecast, 1st time in U.S. ever.

*Global Peace Secretariat presents WBZ TV Meteorologist Jacob Wycoff with it’s first Special Citation for spreading global harmony with Diwali weather forecast.

December Global Peace Secretariat launches Peace Ambassador program marking 75th Anniversary U.N.’s Universal Declaration of Human Rights  Day.

*Global Peace Secretariat pays tribute to former First Lady Mrs. Rosalyn Carter.

** Secretary General Kumu Gupta nominated for 2023 U.N. Prize & SDG Award , 2024 Congressional Medal of Honor Foundation’s Citizen Hero Award.
