Global Peace Secretariat launches Peace Ambassador program on 75th Ann. Declaration of Human Rights Day

December 10 2023 marking 75 th Anniversary of the U.N. Universal Declaration of Human Rights Day, taking the OHCHR ( Office of High Commissioner of Human Rights) pledge,  Global Peace Secretariat launches its Peace Ambassador program. 

The initial phase of the Peace Ambassador program runs till December 10 2030 in line with UN SDG 2030. The 2030 Agenda for sustainable development adopted by all UN member states in 2015, provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future. Secretary General Kumu Gupta was a 2023 UN SDG Award ( Goal #16) nominee.

A Peace Ambassador is required to get 10 people ( any age including young children) to take the free course on ' Non violent communicating in Every day life'  based on Mahatma Gandhi's principle of non violence, developed by Dr. Kundu of Gandhi Smriti ( where Mahatma Gandhi spent his final 144 days) , every year for which a certification of completion will be given by the Secretariat to each person taking the course). The course requires 1-2 hrs to do .

Declaration of Human Rights Articles Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt and it's our duty to take her work forward and ensure dignity and human rights for all , for generations to come'..... Secretary General & 2023 Nobel Peace Prize Nominee Kumu Gupta.
