Triśati Suvāsini Pūja: A Huge Success

Press Release
06/22/2023

With Gurudev’s infinite grace and the blessings of Lord Hanuman ji and the Divine Mother, the 3-day TriÅ›ati Suvāsini PÅ«ja event was a huge success. We celebrated it on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the inauguration of our beautiful building and the invocation of Hanumanji and Chinmaya Maruti temple. Along with Chinmaya Mission, Gñānānanda SÄ“va Samājam and NE-SRS Bá¹›ndāvan came together to conduct this event. The sañkalpa or intention was for Loka Ká¹£ema or welfare of the whole world and to bring the community together. The community really came together to celebrate.

The event was conducted by a team headed by the priests Åšri Sathyanarayana Bhat and Åšri Rajesh Hariharan, along with Åšri Venkatesh Tyagasamudram, Åšri Senthil Subramanian and Åšmt Meenakshi Venkataramani.

The event started on June 9th, Friday morning with Ganapathy Homam and Srividya Homam.

Padukas of all the Gurus in the Boston area were received, and abhisheka and puja were done to receive the blessings of all the Gurus.

On Saturday morning, Sri Åšiva Aá¹£tapadi composed by Jagadguru Åšri ChandrasekharÄ“ndra Saraswathi (62nd seer of Åšri Kānchi Kāmakōti PÄ«tam) was sung by Sri Gurunathan Bhāgavathar and team. The beautiful composition, sung with devotion, represents the individual soul's yearning to attain union with the Supreme Self.

The TriÅ›ati Suvāsini PÅ«ja was on Sunday morning. Vatuka pÅ«ja, Kanyā pÅ«ja, Dampathi pÅ«ja, and Thithi Nithya pÅ«ja were performed first. Then each Nāma of the Lalita TriÅ›ati Stotra was invoked on a married woman and she was prayed to as Lalita Mahā Tripurasundari. There were 331 Suvasinis in total. It was followed by a feast for everyone. About 1000 people were in attendance.

The Lalita Kalyanam was performed with the last 2 Ashtapadis. A divine wedding symbolizes the union of Jīvātmā with Paramātmā, which is the ultimate goal of every being.

Delicious food was available for all attendees all 3 days, cooked by Åšri Ravi Kumar, Åšri Krishna Puranik, and the team.

We had an army of volunteers all 3 days who worked tirelessly to make it run smoothly.

Thanks to everyone who attended and took part in the celebrations! May you and your family always be blessed with the grace of Pujya Gurudev and the blessings of the Divine Mother and Lord Hanuman ji.
