Our Blessed America

The haven of Freedom and Liberty and leader of the free world

Country so beautiful with ocean all around and rivers flowing in its bosom

The Founders so patriotic and so talented drove the British away fleeing like a bird……1

By its sweat and blood our America moved forward like a warrior

With a generous heart aspiring for perfection

It opened its doors to immigrants with welcomed them with no barrier…………………….2

With his “WE THE PEOPLE” declaration, Thomas Jefferson inspired the Nation

Humanity, Kindness and Opportunity for all without color and creed

Fresh wind of new America started blowing in its land with a huge ovation……………….3

Benjamin Franklin gave his wisdom, humor and Scientific Inventions so amazing

Thomas Edison gave 1000 Inventions from the electric bulb to Cinematography

And Pushed Our America to the top of the world in awe and gazing………………………………4

Minutemen of Lexington by their blood founded America as Birthplace of American Liberty

And in Concord the patriots gave a resounding defeat to the British so strong

George Washington fought the battles valiantly and defeated the British so mightily……………5

Freedom was won but still Justice for all was lacking

The blot of Slavery was menace on America

The nation needed a brave and kind man with a sound backing……………………………………..6

America gave birth to a baby in a wood house in Springfield, Illinois, Abraham Lincoln

By hard work and kind heart, he achieved the highest position of our nation

The ill of slavery was too tough to handle but the soul of Lincoln was impatient…….7

Not caring for his life he raised the flag of America and told the Nation

That we must abolish this curse of discrimination and inequality and create a new America

“  Of the people, By the people and For the people “ with no exception…………………………..8

He gave the fervent warning That “ The House divided against itself cannot stand “

The War between North and South was brutal but ultimately, the Right prevailed and

And the Slavery was officially abolished and America was liberated with a big bang………………………..9

The great son of America, Abraham Lincoln, was brutally killed

He saved America from the curse of slavery by his blood

We need such men now so that gap of sanity is filled……………….10

Henry Thereau of Concord and Martin Luther King Junior were made of the Gandhian mould

They made Civil Disobedience and Non-Violence their weapon to achieve justice

And continued their fight for the cause so sacred and bold……………………………………11

Martin Luther King moved the world by his eloquent words at the Washington Mall

“I have a dream…..” speech spread like a wild fire and touched people near and far

The Law giving VOTING RIGHTS TO the people of color was signed and relieved all……………..12

What a glorious Morning!......

But Martin Luther did not rest and continued his fight against hatred because of the color of the skin

Alas, this brave man, Dr. King, fell to the ground by the bullet of a mad man

Gone was the supreme leader so young and so spirited to fight and win…………………………………..13

Our America is declining and Hatred for each other has raised its ugly head in the worst form

All people are equal and negative rhetoric and inflammatory words damage our Nation

Wake up America and save the Nation by messages of the Leaders of peace and staying calm………………14           

This God given gift of Freedom was won by great sacrifice of the Patriots so devoted

Let us not throw our Freedom away and resolve to love and be friends and not foes

If not, our freedom will be lost and our beloved Nation will be demoted……………….15

WAKE UP AMERICA!!

OUR AMERICA

Where are the Lincolns, Thomas Jeffersons, George Washingtons, Gandhis and Mandelas

Where are they?

Our Nation needs them at this hour of great peril

I am sad

But I I believe in the wisdom of America

My hope that a Spirit will arise and our will continue to lead spread its message of love and peace

I have a dream that sun will shine on America again and wipe away the darkness

Of Hatred, Greed and Self Interest

America where the madness of color will not vanquish the character and compassion

Where the humanity will replace the evil of ruthless actions

Where generosity will help the poor and the deprived

Where the fountain of love will overpower the menace of ill intentions

Where the hungry will be fed with kindness and compassion

Where the kind persons will hold the hands of the Blind and the Vision Impaired to show the path

Where the poor children will be embraced and given sound education and knowledge

Where Self Reliance will drive our lives and throw away cowardice

I dream of that America looking upward to achieve perfection

And glow like the brightest sun ever over the Himalayas!
