Lokvani Presents at TIE - Atlantic

The TIE-Atlantic's March 25th networking event at the Burlington Marriott had an impressive turnout as the hall quickly filled up with members and non members. The air buzzed with action as people mingled outside making useful contacts and generally catching up with old friends and acquaintances.

The event started off with Radha Jalan, President and Chair, Electro Chem Inc., chairing the session for the evening which consisted of mini presentations made by companies for their products and services. Entrepreneurs, industry and specific experts and professionals were present in large numbers. The event was sponsored by Kodiak Venture partners.

Lokvani (www.lokvani.com) a community portal was presented by Ranjani Saigal as a website that has made an impressive debut with its focused and specific approach to the task of disseminating information and highlighting the varied efforts of the Indian community in New England. Lokvani's efforts in presenting stories that are of intent, varied and useful in its fortnightly newsletter as also serving as a complete and reliable database of information was the main focus. As the fastest growing portal, Lokvani emphasized that its success lay in creating a community that will participate in the growth and maintenance of the site’s endeavor.

Youth Technology Partners, a non profit organization presented a talk on the opportunities that it provides for high school kids in tech and business internships during summer. The four year organization operates in a partnership with the state government of education and is funded from private sources, including Hitachi, Raytheon and Cisco foundations.

Emoksha made a presentation on ‘Relief from Grief,’ a unique self learning software platform to build target support applications. Other companies that showcased their services included Acelera Group, GDA Technologies, Genstruct, Infolenz, Monandnock Capital, R .M. Bradley and Co., Sequeira Consulting, WIN Enterprises and AAINA.

It was evident that TIE-Atlantic had succeeded in having a entrepreneurial community with venture capitalists and industry professionals actively participating in its efforts of networking, mentoring entrepreneurs and integration with mainstream society.
