IIT AGNE (www.IITAGNE.org) organized its annual picnic on Sunday, July 31 at the NARA Park, Acton, MA which was attended by nearly 100 IIT alumni and their families spanning across the New England area on a beautiful sunny summer day.

The executive committee laid out a mouth watering food, catered by Mayuri restaurant in Acton, MA, covering South Indian, North Indian, Indo-Chinese, as well as a barbecue managed by our own Roopesh Mathur, president of IIT AGNE, grilling tandoori chicken, fresh corn and served with fresh slices of watermelon.

The IITs represented by alumni included IIT Mumbai, IIT Chennai, IIT Kanpur, IIT Delhi, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Roorkee, IIT BHU, IIT Guwahati and IIT Patna, spanning from 1960s to 2020s.

This was a great opportunity to catch up with old and new friends and to network.

Roopesh Mathur, President of IIT AGNE, described various events, such as the 3D Printing Workshop for high school children co-hosted with ISW, Crypto talk held at Maharaja restaurant in Cambridge.

Catch IIT AGNE presence at upcoming India’s Independence Day celebration organized by ISW and IAGB, as well as the Heritage festival in Lowe organized by Gurjar.

IIT would like to thank Roopesh Mathur (as well as his wife Sumitha), Bala Balasubramanian(and his wife Latha), Alkesh Shah (and his wife Sonal), Nishant Gandhi and Asit Goel for their efforts in putting a wonderful picnic together. We also thank all those who attended and would like to see their continued support in attending various other events.
