Indian Americans for Burlington participated in the town's July 4th parade. Decked out in red, white and blue, the team danced to popular Bollywood numbers on the parade route. The group had a truck decked out with July 4th paraphernalia. A music system on the truck belted out fun Bollywood numbers.

IAB is a group that actively participates in all of the town activities. “We really enjoy being part of this parade along with other groups in the town” said Shital Bhammar, President of the organization. “Fourth is all about the Red White and Blue and hence we decided to all dress in red tops  with other white and blue apparel” said Gini Pookotil, the past president of the organization.

The parade follows a 2 mile long route. People in the town line the parade town and encourage the participants. Selectmen and other officials from the town also participated in the parade. They joined the dancing as part of the IAB Parade for a few minutes.

In the all the craziness that is going on in the world, it was very delightful to come together with fellow towns people and celebrate July 4th emblematic of celebrating America. It was truly an honor to be part of the celebrations.
