IIT AGNE Annual Picnic 2021

IIT AGNE organized its annual picnic on July 24th at NARA park, which was attended by alumni and their families across the greater Boston area on a beautiful summer day. The executive committee laid out a sumptuous spread, catered by Mayuri, as well as a barbecue. The picnic was held outdoors under Covid protocols with masks and sanitizers. 

The IITs represented by alumni included IIT Bombay, IIT Madras, IIT Kanpur, IIT Delhi, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Roorkee, IIT BHU, IIT Guwahati and IIT Patna, spanning from 1960s to 2010s. Mr. Vinay Agrawal from IIT Delhi 1968 batch was the oldest alumni, with Nishant Gandhi from IIT Patna being the youngest. 

This was a great opportunity to catch up with old and new friends after a year of being cooped up and to network. Roopesh Mathur, President of IIT AGNE, described the events in progress, such as a 3D Printing Workshop for high school children and a fall mixer at the Harpoon brewery for students. 

IIT AGNE would like to thank Mr. Bala Balasubramian, Mr. Alkesh Shah, Ms. Durriya Doctor, Mr. Nishant Gandhi and Mr. Asit Goel for their efforts in putting a wonderful picnic together. We also thank all those who attended and would like to see more attendance next year.
