New Year Greetings From Chinmaya Mission Boston

New Year Greetings from Chinmaya Mission Boston

As we look forward to 2021, Chinmaya Mission Boston Family (Andover, Metrowest, Newton, Seacoast chapters) reflects on 2020.  We also welcome 2021 invoking Lord’s grace and blessings on all.

In the unprecedented times of 2020, everyone attended virtual classes; closings due to snow days are now a thing of the past. Graduation went online and certificates, books, and goodies were dropped off at doorsteps. Summer camps were held with children from all over the country tuning in from their homes. Pujas went virtual and a nice Diwali program had guest speakers attending from thousands of miles away. Love and smiles were conveyed only through our eyes, and the Vedantic principle of oneness was exemplified in all ways.

In these times, we as a community found our strengths of generosity, empathy, friendship, and love. Every week we assemble together, learn and enjoy spirituality, pray, celebrate, and triumph over our weaknesses.  And together, we donated 3,000+ meals, 1,200+ masks, and raised $10,000+ towards homeless shelters and hospitals.

As we welcome the New Year, let's continue to reinforce our faith, compassion, and love towards humanity and nature. Let's find God within us with love & devotion, and continue on our spiritual journey to uncover the best version of ourselves. With His strength, we will unite to give and better the community around us. To quote Gurudev, "Every act in life is an act of worship to the ever-present."

With the Lord's presence and Gurudev's blessings, may the New Year bring each of us peace, joy, and happiness.  Wishing everyone a wonderful 2021!
