Change Your Thoughts, Change Your Life

Our mind is our greatest asset for it is the machine within that creates thoughts. These thoughts are bundles of energy. Though subtle, they are very powerful. Harness their potential, and rise to great heights; or misuse them and degrade your life.

Our thoughts impact us in multiple ways. Firstly, they change our physical appearance. If we keep dull and gloomy thoughts in the mind, the face will become such as well. Similarly, they impact our health. If we are stressed, our blood pressure rises, our heart races, and our body’s immunity decreases. Whereas if we are happy, our bodily markers are in homeostasis. 

Beyond this, on a metaphysical level, thoughts are the seeds of the actions that we perform. Every action is preceded by a thought in the mind. When we harbor noble and sublime thoughts, our actions become the same. Whereas bad thoughts fructify into bad actions.  

So, just as a gardener tends to the garden by watering the good seeds and plucking out the bad weeds, we too must be the gardeners of our mind. With great care, we must nurture it with wonderful thoughts that will lead to noble actions. And ensure that we do not allow unwanted negative thoughts such as anger, greed, anxiety, depression, etc., to run amuck, and make our mind a plot of weeds.
