Honorable Consul General of India, NY; Dr. Arjun Karki, Honorable Ambassador of Nepal; State Treasurer Deborah Goldberg; Massachusetts Senate President Senator Karen Spilka; Senator William Brownberger; Senator Jamie Eldridge; Representative Carolyn Dykema and numerous other dignitaries from various towns across Massachusetts.

The program featured presentations on the significance of Conch and Diya, Stories of Diwali, Commonality of Cultures in Southeast Asia, Sweets, Fabrics and Jewelry of India, Rangoli, Poems, Indian Classical Dances, Live Sparklers and Mahalakshmi Aarti.

The program was both entertaining and enlightening with the significance of Diwali being presented in a multi-dimensional manner. Many Asian Americans attended the program as did several Massachusetts State Senators and Congressman.
