Hindi Manch invites all to its first ever virtual Antar-Rashtriya Mahotsav on October 9, 10, and 11. The event is truly international and is expected to have a turnout of over 100,000 online viewers globally.  Community volunteers at Hindi Manch have put together an impressive event where Indian expatriates from different countries will join together to celebrate Hindi language in literary works, plays, music and youth programs.

Preetesh Shrivastava, Founder and President of the organization, impressed on the fact that such a grand show with international participants and celebrities has never been attempted in the past by a community group in a virtual format.  Hindi Manch had hosted several virtual events this summer where the total online viewership crossed 75,000. It is that experience, along with their learnings from their 2018 Rashtriya Mahotsav that has energized the entire team to put together this event with participants from 12 countries and several states in the US.

Each day of the event will showcase the use of Hindi in musical, theatrical and literary arts.

  • Hindi Manch Sangeet Vibhag has chosen singers from 10 countries along with Bollywood celebrities Padmini Kolhapure and playback singer Nikhita Gandhi
  • who will entertain and win your hearts.
  • Natya Samaroh will bring 9 accomplished plays enacted by artists from over the world.  The event will be graced by renowned Bollywood celebrity & theater artist, Paresh Rawal, a Padma Shri award recipient.
  • Sahitya Vibhag will host a Vishwa Kavi Sammelan with writers and poets from 7 countries as well as renowned poet, Ashok Chakradhar, also a Padma Shri award recipient, who will also share some of his works as well.
  • Children and teens from Boston area and across the US will participate in educational and entertaining programs including Katha Kahani and Panchtantra Ki Kahaaniyaan organized by Baal Yuva Vibhag.
  • Shri Sanjay Dhotre, Union Minister with the Government of India and Shri Randhir Jaiswal, the Consul General of India from New York, will be the honored guests and will be gracing the event with their presence.

Embracing their performing arts has always been an important part of every “global Indian”.  It helps them reconceptualize their own identity apart from the stereotyping they face in their new countries that influences their relationship to their heritage and with each other.  This AntarRashtriya Mahotsav is a community event that will connect us with Hindi lovers in communities globally.  All while sitting in the comfort of their living rooms.  And the best part is that the event will be completely FREE!  Hindi Manch reminds all of you that this event starts this Friday!
