Press Release 08/27/2020 Swami Mukundananda and his team wish you a very Happy Radhashtami! This auspicious day marks the appearance of Shree Radha Rani where she emerged from a lotus flower and became the loving daughter of King Vrishabhanu and Mother Kirti. It is celebrated with great joy, devotion, and love all over, especially in her birthplace of Barsana. The Vedas tell us that the one Supreme Lord has divided Himself into two forms, the Energetic (shaktiman) and the Energy (shakti). That Supreme Energy (the Yogmaya power) is Shree Radha and Shree Krishna is the Energetic. Hence, Radha and Krishna are two aspects of the one Supreme Lord — they are inseparable and are eternally one. Radha Rani is the quintessence of selfless devotion to Shree Krishna. She bound Shree Krishna with Her pure and illuminating selfless love. The Vedas proclaim that it is this kind of love that enslaves the Lord: yasyÄ reṇuá¹ pÄdayorviÅ›hvabhartÄ dharate mÅ«rdhni premayuktaḥ (Atharva VedÄ«ya RÄdhikopaniá¹£had). “Radha is that entity, the dust of whose lotus feet the Master of the Universe places on his head.â€
Reader, from the point of view of devotion, Radhaji’s personality is very special. Because divine love power is an aspect of Radha Rani, it is only by Her grace that we shall attain our goal of divine love for Shree Krishna. She is the Mother of the universe, who bestows divine grace and grants the transcendental knowledge by which the soul can know God. Hence, devotion at Her lotus feet will unite us in love with Shree Krishna. On the auspicious occasion, JKYog and Swamiji invite you to join the extravagant virtual Radhashtami celebrations from the Radha Krishna Temple of Dallas on August 29 - 30, 2020!
