Sushant Singh Rajput  shocked the entire bollywood and beyond  when he died by committing suicide on June 14 in his Bandra apartment. He has left the entire film fraternity and fans shaken.

Before taking this drastic step, he left a suicide note behind. In his note, he allegedly wrote, “If He Can Do It Why Can’t I.”

The 34 year old actor’s last rites were performed by his family in Mumbai. The police have recorded the statement of his sister as well as his close friend Mahesh Shetty. A TOI report quoted a police official, “Rajput's sister said he had no financial problems but was under treatment for depression for past six months. His friend Shetty said the actor had called him early on Sunday, but he did not pick up. He said if he had, the situation might have been different."Sushant’s last rites were held on June 15th in Mumbai and several Bollywood celebrities paid their last respects to the 34 year old actor. Sushant Singh Rajput was last seen in Nitesh Tiwari's ‘Chhichhore’, which also starred Shraddha Kapoor and Varun Sharma.

We watched his excellent performance in Chhichhore.  Sushant plays the role of a father who  is shocked by his son's attempt to commit suicide and imparts life's lessons.  The dialogue has been ringing - "Hum haar jeet, success failure mein itna ulajh gaye hai ... ki zindagi jeena bhool gaye hai ... zindagi mein agar kuch sabse zyada important hai ... toh woh hai khud zindagi".

Also an emotional scene from the movie

He has left us with several questions, which may remain unanswered for a while.  May his soul rest in peace.
