A Day Long Yoga And Meditation Retreat At A Sanctuary In Sherborn, MA

Ritu Kapur
01/09/2020

January is the time of the year when we look ahead to the year in front of us and imagine it to be better than the one we are leaving behind. We often make the New Years resolution in January and by February, most of us forget about them and fall into our same old, comfortable patterns. Yoga teaches us that the intention we are looking for is called a Sankalpa. Unlike our New Year’s resolution, a Sankalpa is a sacred intention formed by the heart and the mind. It is a solemn vow that is steeped with determination to harness our will and create focus in our mind and our body.

Start your 2020 with a group practice of yoga and meditation and create your Sankapla with Ritu Kapur. Conscious use of Sankalpa is a compelling way of communicating, to our emotional and spiritual bodies and finding what it is that we truly want.

This Day Retreat will be offered at the Unity Farm Sanctuary which is a non-profit farm animal rescue organization. It includes horses, cows, goats, pigs, donkeys, alpaca/llama, and poultry. They work together with the community on topics such as farm animal care, sustainable organic farming practices, the power of kindness, and volunteerism with the hope to extend the impact for positive change for animals and people alike. They are located only 30 mins away from Westborough in the beautiful, wooded town of Sherborn.

Space is loving but limited to 10 people so please register early. A home-made vegetarian lunch will be provided. You will also get a private tour of the farm and hear stories about the rescued farm animals after the lunch break.
