Miss India New England held their 8th annual event at Hilton Hotel in Woburn on December 1st,2019 with contestants participating in three categories belonging to four states- Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine and Rhode Island.
The program featured Ethnic Indian showcase, evening gown round and spectacular array of talents from Miss, Teen and Mrs India participants. The program was attended by well known actress, model and pageant winner Monica Gill, Bollywood veteran actress Seema Shinde Patil and New York’s model Kanushree Jain and Miss Massachusetts USA-2018 Allissa Latham who also trained girls. Notable judges included lawyer, entrepreneur and body builder Prady Tewarie and orthodontist Dr Amit Lala.
Pageant was supported by former and reigning Crown and title winners. The new addition to the pageant was done by Talent round for all Mrs India participants and participants from vacationland Maine. Program emcees were Saniya Palia, Neeli Panda, Fatima Armaghan and music by DJ Sakshi. Another interesting repeat after five years was adding a separate crown for ‘Classic Mrs India New England’ which was won by Rhode Island businesswoman Parul Patel who impressed judges by amazing performance during judgement of Catwalk and talent.
New England pageant is directed and produced by Ruchika Arora. The pageant is designed to identify and support talented young Indian American girls/women and promote culture, traditions of India in USA for modern generations, it is affiliated with ‘Miss India USA/Worldwide Pageants’ organized by IFC of New York, which is world’s largest pageant network specially designed for girls/women of Indian heritage and is running in USA for past 37 years.
