IANH Lights Up The Community Spirit

IANH Diwali and Dandiya  festival was held on Oct 19th 2019 at Nashua High school North,Nashua, NH and was attended by about 600 community members. The Cultural dances and Music were presented by the local talent and the students of local Dance Teachers and Music teachers. Indian being a highly cultural community has been keeping the cultural tradition alive by its dance ,Music and festivals in the American Subcontinent and IANH has been providing the platform for many such talented participants of all age group. one such festival is also Navratri where the community members involve int eh rituals traditional dance like Garba and Dandiya. Community members come together to celebrate the spirit of festivity. Many families participated in the Family fashion show choreographed by Ruchika Arora who is the Director of the Miss India New England  pageant. The /fashion Show were attended by and performed by Zaina Ahmed Miss India New Hampshire, Deepa Jayavelu Mrs India New England, Mihika Abraham,  Sivani Jonnalagadda and Deepa Jayavelu. Walk the Ramp with family and friends.  The Guest performances were done by Mona Mitra who performed Kathak classical dance  and Paresh Motiwala who sang the Bollywood Songs.

IANH is actively involved in organizing the educational bee activities for the North South Foundation who are dedicated to educate the underprivileged kids globally. The donations for $3000 were made for the Nobel cause to the New England regional director Savitha Rajiv and Anitha Rajapolan who received donation on the behalf of North South Foundation. The IANH Volunteers Tej Dhakar, Barinder Alhluwalia, Prasad Dabbi, Balaji RadhaKrishnan, Manoj Chourasia , Ashish Bharadjwaj, Anadn Thippeswamy made significant contribution in organizing the recent National Finals 2019 of the Educational Bees at MIT.. Beside Educational Bee IANH helps in running Nashua Manchester and Derry  Soup kitchens every year by donations and with help of IANH Volunteers

The event was generously sponsored by Tika Acharya,  Kanchan Bhati of New York Life  and Kaypee Jewelers. The delicious food was served by Unnati Cafe and Gurnams Caterers. the amazing decoration was done by Taranaom decorators of Aneesha Karody  Besides the Cultural show there were many vendors who came to display the Indian ethnic wears and some non-profit organisations services. Many latest fashion Indian clothes and decorative craft items were also exhibited.  The Community thoroughly  enjoyed the Diwali treats and the ethnic food to celebrate the festivity. The Even was supported by many IANH volunteers including the IANH Youth wing. IANH welcome Volunteers and to become membrane one can contact membership@ianh.org
