Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram Ji Puja At Shri Ram Mandir

Shri Ram Mandir Group organized Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram Ji’s Puja on the evening of the auspicious birth star day of Shri Ram that is Sunday November 17, 2019 at the Sri Lakshmi Temple, Ashland, MA with hundreds of people from the greater Boston area. They celebrated the Indian Supreme Court's verdict that cleared the way for the building of a temple for Rama — the Hindu deity and the central character of the epic poem “Ramayana” - in Ayodhya, an Indian town in Uttar Pradesh.

The program was started at 3:00pm with the Vedic rituals of Shri Ganesh and Shri Ram Puja and Homam for prevailing peace in the world and to pay respect to those who sacrificed their life in the movement for Ram Janmabhoomi. Luckily, it was also the death anniversary day of Late Shri Ashok Singhal Ji, the former International working president of the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) for over 20 years and in charge of the Ayodhya Ram Janmabhoomi movement. Temple priests Bala Ji and Krishna Bhatta Ji  performed the Homam Puja with special guests, namely, Dr. Abhaya Asthana, president of Vishva Hindu Parishad of America, Mr. Prahlad KC, the Consulate General of Nepal, and Mr. Robert B, Lancia, Ex. State  Senator, Rhode Island and chanted holy Vedic mantras that created positive atmosphere in the shrine. Teertha and Prasadam were served to all the participants before the melodious musical Ram Bhajans session given by the esteemed vocalist Guru M. Rama Rao and local schools and students.

Shri Rama Bhajans session was stated with lighting of lamps by the Chief guests and other special invitees, namely, Mr. Subu Kota, Chairman, The Boston Group, and Mr. Roshan Lal, Ms. Bhawana Srivastava, Mr. Anand and Mamta Bhaduria, Ms. Rekha Singh, Mr. Rakesh Singh, Mr. Ward Williamson, Mr. Sagar, Ms. Namrata Sharma, and many others. Key note address was given by Mr. Subu Kota and wished all the best for the success of the program.

A melodic Lord Ganesh Vandana was sung by a young girl Shreya Nippani.  This was followed by a feast of melodic singing by more than fifteen professional singers, namely, Sharadha Tripathi, Rama Rao, Smriti Khatri, Simran Khatri, Mr. Bhardwaj, Awani, Girish Satpute, Satya Rao, Swapana Kommidi, Nirmala, Krishna Bhaskran, Naresh Agarwal, Paresh Motiwala, Sridevi, and Jyoti Singh. Chanting of mantras was performed by the priest Maha Vishnu from Shri Radha Krishna temple and his student. Mr. Prahlad J., Mr. Maha Dev, Mr. Amit Kanodia, Vikas Deshpoday, talked about the significance of Supreme Court’s verdict on Ram Janmabhoomi and expressed their happiness for every Hindu’s dream coming true. Mr. Kaushik Patel and his wife Ms. Charu Patel were honored for their services to the community as the unsung heroes. Mr. Abhishek Singh recited a poem highlighting the virtues of Shri Ram. Mr. Amit Singh also spoke about Shri Ram and his glory.

Ms. Jyoti Singh did a great job as a Master of Ceremony of the program. Shri Ram Mandir Group organized this outstanding and an appropriate program for the occasion within a short time. Mr. Abhishek Singh thanked all the participants, guests of honors, special invitees for their active participation and gracing the event. They also thanked all the volunteers namely, Mr. Kaushik Patel, Ms. Charu Patel, Mr. Ganesh, Raji,  Deepak Rathor, Supreet Subbraya, Mr. Gaurav Dixit, Mr. Dipak Sharma, Ms. Anu Rathor, Jyoti Singh, Amol and Piyusha for their time and services and making this event a gran success.
