Hopkinton is one of the first Metrowest towns to have a lighted display on the occasion of Diwali. The display was built and installed by the South Asian Circle of Hopkinton.

Hopkinton Town Common has a lighted display on the occasion of Diwali - The Festival of Lights. The South Asian Circle of Hopkinton has put up the display to wish all residents of Hopkinton a very happy Diwali season.
Diwali, the festival of lights, is celebrated  every autumn in the northern hemisphere and symbolises the victory of light over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance.

The South Asian Circle of Hopkinton is a 501c3 non-profit with a mission to bring together the collective strength and share the vibrant spirit of the South Asian diaspora of Hopkinton. They do so with a variety of cultural events, community outreach and civic engagement.
