“There are no two cases that are the same”, says Clark Siddiqui, Immigration Attorney, “Each time I create a folder for my client, I realized that there is a life behind it.” We are talking to him at his Acton office where he has been practicing since 1996. The status of a successful attorney in the legal profession can only be achieved if a lawyer is pragmatic, patient, thoughtful and informed. Clark Siddiqui strikes us as one who is just that and personable and engaging with a good sense of humor, an attribute, he admits is vital to his profession. Testimony to this fact is the caricature of the man himself behind his desk. His office has other intriguing pieces that display his interest in areas beyond his profession. A Wall of Tolerance Certificate hangs in one corner which he modestly attests to his commitment to a group that believes that ‘A little tolerance goes a long way.’

The conversation turns interesting as we talk about issues that range from immigration questions, his new ventures, loyal clients, outsourcing of jobs and the present immigration laws. It is obvious that his varied articulation comes from a long haul on his expertise on substantive issues. It also comes from his interest in reading up on current issues and staying in touch. For instance, he is eager to share with us an email that has come to him that morning. It is an article from the LA Times by Tamara Jacoby that talks on the Anti Immigration Campaign. According to the op-ed piece by her “several Republican congressional offices say their correspondence is running as much as 400 - or even 1,000 - to 1 against the immigration initiative." Calling it lopsided, she then questions? “Is opposition to the President's proposal really 400 to 1? Poll after reputable poll has always shown that Americans are split on immigration. Perhaps Republicans may be opposed to the President's proposal by 2 to 1.Surely not by 400 to 1. She then maintains that how immigration is no longer an inside the Beltway issue and why political activism outside the Beltway is critical in moving legislation forward. “Belatedly, the pro-immigrationists have awoken to the problem. AILA recently started publishing "Restrictionist Watch" to help pro-immigration advocates understand what the opposition is up to”. Siddiqui agrees that the issue of immigration is something that cuts to the core in all his clients and so reading up and updating himself with topics such as these is important to him.

Attorney Siddiqui's practice includes immigration, business and corporate, employment and labor, personal injury and family law. How he arrived here, though is an interesting story. “I grew up in a family of five brothers and later went to live with my uncle and aunt in UK where I finished my schooling. Soon of course, I realized that it was the US that would be giving me the best opportunities. So I came here and finished my graduation at Syracuse University and went on to complete law at Massachusetts School of Law.

Since he has done so well for himself, the question we ask is inevitable. What are his new ventures? “I am presently working on updating my website www. Getjobvisa.com. This will be improved in the next month or so and will be extremely helpful for all kinds of visas. They include O, P, R, TN, B1, L1 H-1B and E-1/2 visas. It will also allow employers to post in their jobs and help connect employees with potential employers; the second venture has been an office in London, an initiative, he admits is family supported and has been a very profitable venture in expanding his business. The idea behind it was to open up opportunities for business by providing visas for people from other nations like Canada, UK and the European Union. When asked to elaborate, he says “The Treaty Trade investor Visa allows businesses outside the US to make significant investments here. The best part is that this visa has no cap and no time limits. One of my clients from UK has set up a tea and scone business in Florida and is flourishing. “The reality”, he insists “is, eventually America is a land of opportunity”.

The talk then comes back to his clients that range from corporations to individuals and in many cases family law. Siddiqui attests to technology that has helped him have clients from all over the world. They range from Indians, Pakistanis, Bangladeshi’s, Lebanese, Brazilians, and people from other nationalities. Some of them have remained loyal and sought legal help from him repeatedly. He cites an interesting case of a client who came to him for a H1 visa, applied for a green card, filed for US Citizenship, bought a house and took his legal help for his real estate transaction, then sought help to file for divorce from his wife and came back full circle later for getting a visa for his fiancé from another country. This was a client he serviced for six to seven years through various stages of legal help. Another trend that he has noticed is the signing of the prenuptial agreement among Indian couples. It is no longer exclusive to Donald Trump and his wife alone or to the celebrity circuit, he says jokingly.

For an attorney to be recognized, he or she truly has to be well versed and experienced in his or her field. Attorney Siddiqui exudes confidence and trust in his dealings with his client. Many may not know it but beside immigration issues, Siddiqui asserts he would like people to know that they could approach him on real estate transaction deals, family law relating to matrimony and divorce and other legal issues.
