Maanaseva Celebrates Saint Tyagaraja Vaibhavam

As part of the annual fundraiser for Maanavseva and supporting its cause, the organization is excited to bring before you  a packed "Two in One" offering that you will undoubtedly cherish and remember ! 

Classical Kuchipudi dance ballet depicting "Sri Sitarama Kalyanam" and a Musical extravaganza "Tyagaraja Vaibhvam". "Sri Sitarama Kalyanam" is presented by students of Sri Kuchipudi Natyalaya under direction from Guru Srimathi Shailaja Chowdhury. 

"Tyagaraja Vaibhavam" is a musical biography of saint Tyagaraja featuring many gems of Tyagaraja - This program is coming back to us by popular demand ! The presentation is a true reflection of superb local talent :  As many as 80 cast members, several local musicians and choreography by dance teachers and Smt Padmaja Bala!

The SAPTAVARNA concept of creating a composite choreography of seven different dance for a ballet performance is bold and innovative in the great tradition of Indian dance. Guru Aruna Mohanty along with the dance exponents Anitha Guha, Monisa Nayak, Janardhan Raj Urs, Pallavi Krishna, and Avijit Das and an eighteen-member troupe will participate in the North American premiere of the ballet SAPTAVARNA on September 21, 2019 at Cary Memorial Hall, in Lexington, MA.
