Lokvani College Admission Workshops

Lokvani and AcceptU (www.AcceptU.com), a local college counseling group comprised of former admissions officers will be offering two free workshops, “Inside the College Admissions Office,” on Sunday, September 24. 

• Lexington: 2 pm – 3:30 pm at the Elks Lodge (959 Waltham Street)

• Westford: 5 pm – 6:30 pm at St. Mark’s Episcopal (75 Cold Spring Road). 

Join Anil Saigal, a professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Tufts University, and Marc Zawel, author of Untangling the Ivy League, as they provide insight into how admissions decisions are made and what parents can do to improve their child’s chances. 

Appropriate for families of middle and high school students in grades 6– 12, you will learn:

• How college admissions offices review applications.
• Ways applicants can “stand out” and be more compelling and memorable.
• Why college admissions officers reject “brilliant but boring” applicants.
• What the most important factors are in admissions decisions.
• Bottom line actionable advice you can implement today to help your child.

Each Year Shri Dwarkamai Sports Team organizes Tennis Tournaments and Cricket Tournaments during the Summer time to benefit Boston Children’s Hospital. Communities from all around the greater Boston neighborhood participate in our tournaments. Between both tournaments this year, we were able to raise $1500, which will be donated to the Boston Children’s Hospital.

The Great Indian Dance Traditions In SAPTAVARNA

The SAPTAVARNA concept of creating a composite choreography of seven different dance for a ballet performance is bold and innovative in the great tradition of Indian dance. Guru Aruna Mohanty along with the dance exponents Anitha Guha, Monisa Nayak, Janardhan Raj Urs, Pallavi Krishna, and Avijit Das and an eighteen-member troupe will participate in the North American premiere of the ballet SAPTAVARNA on September 21, 2019 at Cary Memorial Hall, in Lexington, MA.
