OFBJP Boston Celebrated The Victory Of Prime Minister Narendra Modi

The Overseas Friends of Bharatiya Janata Party (OFBJP) Boston celebrated the victory of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP Government in the 2019 Elections held in India very ardently on Sunday Jun 02, 2019, at the Raddison Hotel Chelmsford, MA. Shri Modi stunned the opposition with huge election win. Hundreds of people from the New England region gathered with much passion and enthusiasm and celebrated the grand victory of Mr. Modi, a leader whom many see as a driving force behind strengthening India’s image in the world.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP made history in India. Shri Modi scored a dramatic election victory and increased its majority on a mandate of business-friendly policies and a tough stand on national security. On the victory day, Shri Modi was showered with rose petals by thousands of supporters, but Shri Modi said that this is not Modi’s victory.  This is the victory of the expectations of the honest citizens of this country especially mothers, youth, farmers and un-organized sector laborers.

The meet and greet session started at 5:00pm with hot samosas and pakoras with nice tea and coffee to relish and meet each other in a joyous environment. The main program started with the very warm welcome of the audiences by the Emcee of the program, Smt Geetanjali Vermani and Smt Jyoti Singh. Later, the Pooja and Arati of Lord Rama, Hanuman Ji and Lord Shiva were performed by the priests from Dwarkamai temple, North Billerica, MA, with all the Vedic puja rituals and chanting of Matras. This session was followed by the singing of National Anthems of India and USA and the singing of melodious Bhajans by Shri M Rama Rao Mukkamala, who is a professional musician and teacher with over 30 years of experience. He specializes in Hindustani Classical vocal, and in Sugam Sangeet or light music comprising of Ghazals, Geet and Bhajans and presented several Concerts in India and New England area.

A short homage video show was presented in the background while paying homage to Ex PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ji, Ananth Kumar Ji, Manohar Parikar and Karyakartas who laid down their lives working for BJP (in West Bengal, Gujarat, Odisha). This exclusive homage video made by Shri Anil Chawla Ji was watched by all with much reverence and appreciation. Many dignitaries and Shri Abhishek Singh, Convener, OFBJP Boston performed lighting of lamps and observed 2-minute silence to pay respect to the martyrs of India. Dr Balram Singh Ji who is formally retired from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth as a biochemistry professor and who had previously directed the university’s former Center for Indic Studies and Botulinum Research Center, spoke to the audiences about Shri Modi’s victory, his vision and policies for making India a strong nation in the world in the coming years.

Shri Guitar Prasanna and his wife Smt Shalini Lakshmi sang beautiful songs and entertained audiences with their excellent performance. She really adds luster with her sweet delicate voice to Shri Prasanna’s Guitar playing as it is said by the Vintage Guitar Magazine about their album All Terrain Guitar. She has also recorded songs with famous music directors and composer like A. R. Rahman, for the Tamil film Vazhakku, and Enn Esperanza Spalding, Pierre Van Dormael for the French film Essay Moi by Pierre Francois Martin. Shri Prasanna is one of the most celebrated and internationally acclaimed artists and a pioneer in performing the traditional Indian Classical Carnatic music on a modern electric guitar and is known worldwide for that innovation. His expertise in Jazz, Rock and Fusion music makes an outstanding music composer and he works with many well-known Oscar and Grammy award winning artists.

Shri Sankar Manikonda one of the most famous singer of New England area sang patriotic songs and captivated the audiences in Desha Bhakti mood. Smt Sharanya Sarkar Verma Sang Vande Maatram very passionately and made everyone to sing with her. Shri Navneet Sharma sang very melodic patriotic song with great devotion. Shri Ramchandra Joshi the Indian Classical Vocalist sang a poem composed by Patriot Shri Vinayak Damodar Savarkar. Smt Sonal Limbachia sang evergreen patriotic song Ae mere vatan ke logo.

Shri Abhishek Singh proposed his vote of thanks to audiences for their active participation and volunteers for their dedicated time and support. He thanked profusely the sponsors Shri Dilip Patel and Ashok Patel. He also thanked enormously Smt Barkha Sharma and her team from Divine Events Decors for their beautiful stage and outside decorations and the Emcee of the program Smt Geetanjali Vermani and Smt Jyoti Singh for putting the event together and running it nicely. He also thanked the Radisson Hotel Chelmsford for providing their hall for the program. He also thanked Media personalities for covering the event.

One of the participants said to the reporter that we see Shri. Modi as one of the most powerful leaders that India has produced since independence and as he is going to do good for the country and change its image as a strong nation in many areas.
