12/14/2018 TiE-Boston, held its annual black-tie gala which was attended by its founding charter members, past presidents and over 250 guests, bestowed its highest honor, the Lifetime Achievement Award, to entrepreneur and philanthropist Dr. Amar Sawhney, who has founded numerous companies and is credited with creating thousands of jobs and over millions in value for shareholders. Lifetime Achievement Award Dr. Amar Sawhney TiE-Boston, which was founded in 1997 as TiE-Atlantic, is TiE Global’s second oldest and second largest chapter, The other awardees in various categories were: Digital Health Leader: Yvonne Hao, PillPack Rising Star: Dr. Rushika Fernandopulle, Iora Health Business to Business Solutions Leader: Kris Canekeratne, Virtusa Rising Star: Stefania Mallett, ezCater e-Commerce and B2C Solutions Leader: Niraj Shah, Wayfair Rising Star: Aman Narang, Toast Robotics and Automation Leader: Karl Iagnemma, nuTonomy Rising Star: Raghav Gupta, Humatics Innovation and Achievement in Venture Capital Darshana Zaveri, Catalyst Health Ventures Katie Rae, The Engine TiE Charter Member Achievement Award Ravi Ika, RxAdvance Venkat Maroju, SourceTrace Systems Malay Kundu, StopLift Ram Krishnan, VidScale Nilanjana Bhowmick announced the set-up of the TiE Boston Foundation to support and grow the activities of THe Young Entrepreneur (TyE) program with an initial endowment of $500K with nearly $350K already raised.
