Puran Dang Named Distinguished Professor Of Leadership And Entrepreneurship

Puran Dang, well known community leader, patron of music and arts, and an entrepreneur has been bestowed the high honor as "Distinguished Professor Of Leadership and Entrepreneurship" by Adamas University, Kolkata, India. It is a young, fully recognized university with high goals. Professor Dang will play a pivotal role in the development of Adamas University.

Adamas University awards degrees in various disciplines from BS to Ph.D levels and is progressing. They have invited Puran Dang to help them in the development of this great institution. They need lot of connections with US Universities in developing their curriculum, collaborate on various levels, arrange exchange of professors and collaborate in research projects.

Professor Puran Dang will be based in Lexington, Mass to represent and help Adamas university in achieving their goals. He will visit Adamas whenever he can.

Professor Dang will organize collaborations with Universities, plan and organize seminars, panel discussions and handle several other undertakings. He will also give lectures to the students of Adamas on leadership and entrepreneurship.

Adamas University has been founded by most eminent professors and Directors of highly acclaimed educational institutions of India. Professor Madusudan Chakraborty, is the Vice Chancellor of Adamas Univeristy. He retired as the Director of IIT Bhubhaneshwar. He was a life long professor, Head Of The Department and Deputy Director Of IIT Khargapur before he became Director of IIT Bhubhaneshwar for full five years. Professor Samit Ray is the Chancellor of Adamas University and is a most known educationist of India. Their professors have been drawn from most famous institutes and universities of India namely IIT Kharagpur, Jadavpur University, Bengal Engineering College and several other known institutions.

In October, this year, Chancellor Samit Ray and Vice Chancellor Madhusudan Chakraborty, and President Amitava Mukhopadhyay personally came to Puran Dang’s home to request and give this honor to him in the presence of Professor Avijit Gangopadhyay, Senior Professor of Oceanography at UMass Dartmouth and Professor Partha Ghosh, Professor Of Practice at Tufts University and MIT Sloan School, and former Partner Of Mckenzie in Japan for many years. Professor Ghosh visited Adamas in early October and gave an inspiring lecture about his vision on creating Future Leaders for India. Professor Gangopadhyay is scheduled to visit Adamas during January 2019 and discuss a strategy for greater US/New England involvement in developing new and innovative educational programs in India that are needed for the next generation of Global Indians.

Professor Bish Sanyal, Head Of Planning & Urban Development, MIT is also going to speak at Adamas in December this year and help the university by his advice.

Professor Puran Dang feels very humbled by this high position and extraordinary honor bestowed on him.

He has requested Adamas University not to give him any salary. He will do this purely as a service to the noble goal of excellent education for one and all.
