Dr B. B. L. Mathur
Beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, teacher and friend, passed away peacefully at home on October 15, 2018, surrounded by family.
Dr. Mathur’s life was full of love, joy, integrity and family experiences until the very end.
Dr Mathur was born in Surajgarh, India in 1928 and was in the first graduating class of Gwalior Medical College, India. An exceptional physician, leader and teacher Dr. Mathur retired as Dean of Medical College Jabalpur, India.
Dr. Mathur was also the Dean in Bhopal, India during the Union Carbide Gas Leak Tragedy where under his leadership thousands were treated and saved.
His true passion was teaching and helping others reach their goals.
He taught Graduate and Post Graduate classes at Worcester State University, Framingham State University and Quinsigamond Community College. He was well respected and liked by all his students.
He won numerous awards for teaching in India and in the United States.
His legacy continues to live through the scores of practicing physicians and nurses here and in India.
Dr. Mathur leaves behind his wife Dr. Usha Mathur and son Amit, his wife Charita and grandchildren Reeya, Aishani and an extended family here and in India.
