Ivy Child International and Nrityanjali Dance Company Partner to Support Yoga and Mindfulness for Underserved Children and Communities Through a Cultural Evening of Indian Dance, Theatre, Music, and Folk Art

On August 19, 2018, Jothi Raghavan and the Nrityanjali Dance Company are presenting “Shringara Triveni”, an original dance theatre production, in support of Ivy Child International. The event will be held at the Performing Arts Center at Littleton High School (Littleton MA) from 3-7pm. The evening features traditional Indian dance, theatre, and storytelling, accompanied by an ensemble of acclaimed musicians from India. Guests will also enjoy an art exhibit and silent auction featuring Indian folk art by the Kalakruti Artists and Color of India artists. General admission tickets ($30) and VIP tickets ($100) are available online until 12pm on Sunday, August 19th. Tickets at the door will be $35. VIP admission includes an exclusive art exhibit viewing, complimentary appetizers and beverages, live veena performance, the opportunity to meet with featured artists, and premium seating. All proceeds from this event will benefit Ivy Child International, a nonprofit providing yoga and mindfulness programs for underserved children and communities.

 

Jothi Raghavan, Founder of Nrityanjali Dance Company and master Bharatha Natyam dancer/teacher/choreographer, is known as one of the best in the field. Jothi and her dancers will perform the fast-paced, intricate and expressive classical Indian dance form Bharatha Natyam along with other regional styles of dance. The music for the production is composed by acclaimed musicians Sudha Raghuraman, G. Raghuraman Revathi Ramaswamy, N. Narayanaswamy, and Jerry Leake. Featured folk artists from the Kalakruti Artists and Color of India include: Sunanda Sahay, Raksha Soni, Mridula Satyamurthy, Vasanthi Srinivas, Giri Pottepalem, Geeta Jakkaraju, Kavita Gohil, Gopika Narula, and Avishi Sharma.
