Hundreds of Hearts Touched in “The Heartfulness Way” Book New England Book Launches

If you haven’t heard about “The Heartfulness Way”, one of Summer 2018’s most well received reads, allow me to enlighten you. “The Heartfulness Way” is a book illustrating a conversation between a student and a teacher of meditation, regarding the century-old practice of Heartfulness Meditation. Heartfulness Meditation is a practice of an ideal, spiritual way of living by and from the heart that is inclusive of all ideologies, beliefs, and religions. This book presents Heartfulness as a unique method of meditation with the power to facilitate an immediate, tangible spiritual experience, irrespective of a person’s faith; Therefore, it is extremely accessible to all audiences because of the many scientifically proven and vastly experienced ways of benefit. This book has also reached large audiences - from its release on June 1st, it is already a #1 New Amazon book order on the Medical Clinical Psychology  and Eastern Indian philosophy charts. Having been a top Barnes and Nobles seller and a #1 Bestseller in India already, this book has been called “A must-read for anyone interested in incorporating meditation into their lifestyle.” by Sanjay Gupta, MD, chief medical correspondent for CNN, and has received many similar words of encouragement.

The month of July unfurled with multiple “The Heartfulness Way” book launch events within the New England Area; The first of which taking place on July 1st in Ashland, Massachusetts, the second opening on July 2nd in Nashua, New Hampshire, and the third being held on July 3rd in Boston, Massachusetts. Co-Author of this nationally best-selling and moving book, Joshua Pollock, spoke with warmth and clarity at all three events, while inviting all eager and curious audiences to experience Heartfulness meditation for their own.

The book launch on July 1st took place at Sri Lakshmi Temple, and was supplemented by a splendid musical performance by Grammy nominated flute Maestro, Shashank Subramanyam and his accompanist Tiravarur Vaidyanathan on Mridangam, following Pollock’s talk and meditation. The evening began at 5 PM on the dot, with MC Shruti Sehra opening for Pollock’s talk. Joshua talked about his childhood and beginnings which led him down a path towards meditation. Expanding upon many abstract concepts like spirituality, Pollock talked about the divine deeper elements of the human experience which unite us all, and those which we seek in this journey of spirituality. Following his ponder worthy talk, was a short 20 minute meditation session which the audience could experience for themselves. After awakening from this silence, Shashank SUbramanyam and Tiruvarur Vaidyanathan gracefully took the stage and awed the audience of upwards 200 people with their unreplicable musical genius.   They both have recently won the prestigious Sangeet Natak academy award in India. The concert included some very melodious carnatic compositions in Raga Dharmavathi, Kalyani followed by some devotional compositions that left the audience spellbound. Shashank also explained some difficult techniques he uses in flute that has set him apart as a unique flutist in the world of  Indian classical instrumental music.

“The Heartfulness Way” event in the Nashua location took place on Amherst street, red by Global Adult Daycare with an audience of over fifty  new and old meditators. The well-sized audience enjoyed the same informational topics as the audience before, with a meditation session that lasted more than 15 minutes. Partnered with a mixed western and Indian musical performance by rising singers for Berklee Indian Ensemble, Janani Sharma and Muheet Bharat.

In the divine essence of the Northeastern University Sacred Space located in the heart of Boston, Joshua Pollock conducted a cosy couple of dozen audience people at noon. The presentation lasted about a half hour, and was followed by a peaceful meditation and friendly questioning session. The Sacred Space of Northeastern is a local, open area where students of all backgrounds and religions, from Christianity to Hinduism, may practice their beliefs. This was the last of New England that Joshua Pollock enlightened in this tour.
