Dr. Sahdev R. Passey Elected 170th President Of Worcester Medical Society

Dr. Sahdev R. Passey was elected to the position of 170th President of Worcester Medical Society during the Annual Meeting of the Society held at Beachwood Hotel in Worcester MA on April 11, 208.

During the meeting the outgoing President of the Society, Dr. James B. Broadhurst introduced Dr. Passey to the audience and said:

 â€œDr. Sahdev Passey is a Board certified pediatrician and had been working in a private practice in Worcester for last 40 years. He has been very much involved in local community for last 30 plus years.  He has served as President of the India Society of Worcester, the Indian Medical Association of New England and the Indo-American Forum for Political Education.  He is also one of the founding directors of the South East Asian Coalition of Central Mass. In 2005 he help establish a Free Health Stop, a free medical clinic to serve under served in our community, at the India Center in Shrewsbury and serves as its medical director.  He is a recipient of Citation form Governor Weld and Governor Patrick as well Key to City of Worcester from Mayor Mariano and Tim Murray for his community services.  He is a member of WDMS for last 30 years and has been a Delegate to MMS since 1996. He has served as Alternate Trustee to MMS, Chair and member of Reference Committees, Chair of our Committee on legislation and member of Bylaws and Grievances Committee. In 2008 he was awarded Community Clinician Award by WDMS and MMS. Currently he has been serving as our Vice President for last 2 years. He considers the greatest accomplishments of his life are to be married to love of his life Carolyn for last 42 plus years, raising three wonderful children (Michael, Katelyn and Sean) and watching his grandchildren grow”.

Worcester Medical Society was established in 1794 and currently has over 2400 local physicians as its members. It serves as a social and education source for physicians and medical students of central Massachusetts and is a integral part of Massachusetts medical Society
