Smartest Family in US from Quincy, MA?

On a past weekend I almost fell off my chair, when I turned on Zee TV (USA) to watch a new game show- America's Smartest Family - guess who was one family contestant in the debut show of a 11 part series - the Bhagania family of Quincy, MA ! - wow, the same town I live in. And double amazing was when the host asked the game question - who is the 2nd President Of United States - Answer: John Adams whose birthplace is Quincy.

Dr. Bhagania recently (2016 ) moved to the US , to Quincy with his wife and 8yrs old twins to pursue a career in  Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, from Manipal India.

Upon speaking to Dr. Bhagania about his experience, here are few things he shared :

Q: what made you choose Quincy as your first place to come to  in United States -
A:  Dr. Bhagania chose Quincy due to its history and proximity to downtown Boston where his work would be.

Q: how did you find out about the game show and what was it like to be on TV in the US -
A: Dr. Bhagania found out about the game show from Zee TV promo soliciting participants from across America. He has been very involved with Quiz shows since college days at Manipal University and even after, when he was Professor there for 9 years. Dr Bhagania’s family found it very exciting and thrilling to be on TV since it was their first time ever to be on television.

Q: what was the toughest question and how will you celebrate if you win -
A: They found the toughest question to be one on Trigonometry. If they win , they will visit back home to India and take a tour around Europe.

We wish the Bhagania family Best of Luck in moving through all the rounds & winning the grand $10,000 prize to become America’s Smartest Family.

Note: Watch Bhagania family compete in Quarter Finals show of America's Smartest Family on Zee TV this Saturday.
