Meet-n-Greet With Indian Leaders

A Dinner Reception to meet and greet India’s dynamic leaders and Consul General of India, New York was arranged under the joint auspicious venture of the World Hindu Council of America (VHPA), Global Indian for Bharat Vikas (GIBV), Overseas Friends of USA, Friends of MP (Madhya Pradesh), and MILAN, USA at Amrit Sabha, Northboro, MA on Sunday, February, 11, 2018 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. Many audiences from the New England land arrived to meet and listen to the exciting speeches and understand these leader’s future agendas and visions for making India as one of the advanced countries of the world from clean India to prosperous high tech booming India.

The priest of the Temple, at Amrit Sabha welcomed the devotees and audiences with a smile and offered Tilak and Prasad to all. The Dinner Reception program started with the singing program by the Swaranjali group members. The singers entertained the audiences by ever-green Bollywood songs and with their sweet and beautiful voices. Also they sang patriotic song and inspired the pride in our hearts about India. Pawan Roy, who was he master of ceremony started the program with is opening remarks and invited his passionate team members to introduce the special guests of the night to the audiences. Shri. Sanjeeva Tripathi read his Bharatiya Rashta Prem (patriotic) poem where he described not only the beauty of the land but also its new movements in the modern world. Kanchan Banerjee described in brief the history of Boston and gave very elaborative introduction and the dedicated community services by Shri. Sandeep Chakravorty, the new Consul General of India in New York. Shri. Chakravorty said that Indian Consulate is here to make the Indo-US relation better and serve the needs of our Indian community.

Pramit Maakoday introduced Shri. Kartikeya Singh Chauhan, who is a vibrant young leader of Bharatiya Janta Yuva Morcha. Pramit said that he led the youth wing of BJP in 2013 for Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha election campaign and contributed to an unparalleled victory of the party. Shri. Kartikey, who is just 22-year-old and the final year law graduate, is very dynamic and passionate about what he does in the party and he has immense passion to building Madhya Pradesh and India on new economic and modern terms. Shri. Abhishek Singh introduced Smt. Nupur Sharma who is an Advocate and official Spokesperson of the BJP's Delhi unit. He said that Nupur is highly educated and well-informed person in the party about current issues. She spoke very passionately about Modi’s government and its various schemes and enlightened the audiences about the current affairs of the government. She also motivated audiences here to take part and actively support India’s progress. 

Shri Sanjay Kaul, Vice President World Hindu Council of America (VHPA) introduced Captain Abhimanyu Sindhu, the Senior Cabinet Minister of the current ruling party. He proudly said that Shri. Captain Abhimanyu served in the Indian army, worked as an active journalist. Shri. Kaul mentioned that Capt. Abhimanyu is a self-made entrepreneur and runs a non-profit organization in his family name. With this rich background he entered into politics and holds the charges of 8 independent departments of Haryana government. Shri. Abhimanyu Sindhu said that Indian diaspora needs leverage to grow to its full extent. Now, the perception of India is changing in the world and it is going emerge as a notable leader in the Asian continent and a super power in the world soon.

After the visiting dignitaries spoke, Pawan invited Dr. Abhaya Asthana to tell the audience about the upcoming 2nd World Hindu Congress (WHC) that is going to take place at Chicago from September 7-9.  The first WHC was held in 2014 in New Delhi, Bharat. Its resounding success laid the foundation from WHC 2018 will continue in building a consistent global platform for Hindus to come together on a shared platform for a shared purpose, inspired by shared values. Guided by the Hindu principle, Sumantrite Suvikrante WHC 2018 is a movement not to be missed. On the eve of the 125th anniversary of Swami Vivekananda’s historic address to the Parliament of World Religions, Hindus from around the world and from all backgrounds are invited to actively participate.

 

Pawan Roy summed up the program with his closing remarks. Varsh and Hemal Rathod thanked the special guests for their informative and educative speeches and audiences for their support and enthusiasm. He also thanked the Swarajali team for entertaining the audiences and guests and Amrit Sabha for providing their venue for the event. He also thanked all the organization that came forward to the host this event and in making it a grand success.
