Problem 1

If P(-1,2) is a point on line segment A(3,-6) and B. If P divides the line segment in ratio 2:3, what are co-ordinates of B?

Problem 2
If A and B are two points on a line. A is on X axis and B is on Y axis.  If a point (-1,2) divides the line segment AB equally, what is the length of AB?

It takes 3 bricks to build a staircase with 2 steps, 6 for 3 steps.  How may bricks will it take to build 12 steps?

 

Problem 2
There are 3 different roads from city A to city B and 2 different roads from city B to city C. There are 3 roads between cities C and D, and 2 roads between cities B and D. How many ways can someone go from city A to city D.
