“It’s the story of a thousand paper cuts,” so said Megan Smith CTO under Barack Obama, referring to the multiple challenges women face in STEM careers. IITAGNE is organizing a workshop to focus attention on these challenges to a career for women in STEM.

The workshop will be held on Sunday Feb 4, 2018 at MIT in room 32-141.

This workshop will provide a forum for advocates of women working towards building STEM careers to collaborate with industry and university leaders on crafting a strategy for paving the path for continued success of women in STEM at the undergraduate level and beyond.

In addition to keynotes and panel discussions by Sanjay Sarma, Vice President for Open Learning, MIT, Hamsa Balakrishnan, Professor at MIT, Chitra Javdekar, Dean of STEM, Mass Bay Community College and Geeta Aiyer, Founder of Direct Action for Women Now, there will be opening, closing talks and interactive brainstorming sessions led by the IIT-AGNE Women's core team that includes Ranjani Saigal, Mandy Pant, Durriya Doctor, Jayanthi Narasimhan, Surabhi Bhandari, Neeta Agarwal and Rukmini Vijaykumar.
