Bollywood top hit of the week are in! Surprise surprise, none other than the “Ghoomar” song from upcoming Sanjay Leela Bhansali movie, Padmavati is still #1 of the week. This song starring Deepika Padukone had a big hype behind its release and it sure has lived up to it! We can now hardly wait for the rest of the soundtrack! New this week is “Ban Ja Rani” from Tumhari Suli, starring Vidya Balan and releasing November 17th.  Definitely don’t miss out on Jasmin Walia’s “Bom Diggy” a popular dance song this season. In Manipur all musical instruments have great ritualistic value and the Pung is played by men only -in the dance known as Pung-Cholom. But Guruji broke this tradition and his female students have established the tradition of playing the Pung live on stage in an item called Mridang -Vadan. I plan to present this at the Trinethra festival festival.
