Indian Americans of Lexington (IAL) is celebrating its 2017 Diwali Mela on October 21st at Lexington High School. Diwali (also "Deepavali") — the festival of lights — is one of the biggest festivals in India and is truly pan-Indian. Indian Americans of Lexington has been conducting the Diwali Fest since 1995.

What do you do when you see a person with disabilities? Tyngsboro elementary school student Meera Nair, who suffers from Cerebral Palsy has created a video to teach people how to greet people with disabilities. The fifth-grader's video -- shot, edited and pieced together by photographer Deepa Jacob is her contribution to the "Just say hi" campaign.
