Recipes -Telangana Festival


Rice  2 cups

Sesame seeds ΒΌ cup

Ajwain  2 tea spoon

Red Chilli powder  1 tea spoon

Salt  to taste

Oil  for deep fry


Clean and wash the rice, and soak in water for 5 hours or over night.
After 5 hours drain the water and dry the rice on thin cloth for atleast half an hour.Then grind it as fine powder in a mixie.Take a large bowl add rice flour, ajwain, sesame seeds, red chilli powder, salt and mix well. Add water slowly and mix in into a dough.The dough should be medium consistency, it must not be too watery or to thick.

Take small portion of the dough into your hand and roll into cylinders or circles.Like this complete the same procedure for the whole dough.
Meanwhile heat oil in a pan.When oil is hot, drop this circles or sakinalu in the oil and deep fry till light golden brown.Remove from oil and place on the paper napkin. Store in a airtight container
