The Desai Foundation hosted its Lotus Festival Gala to celebrate the 20th anniversary on September 16, 2017 at the Collings Foundation Estate. More than 280 guests were inspired by the speech delivered by Nilofer Merchant, an entrepreneur, author and TED talk speaker known as one of the world's leading thinkers. Desai Foundation President Megha Desai said that dignity, health and education of women and children are the key goals of the foundation. The event surpassed its goal to support vocational programs for women in rural India.
