Lokvani College Admissions Workshops

Lokvani and AcceptU (www.AcceptU.com), a local college counseling group comprised of former admissions officers will be offering two free workshops, “Inside the College Admissions Office,” on Sunday, September 24. 

• Lexington: 2 pm – 3:30 pm at the Elks Lodge (959 Waltham Street)

• Westford: 5 pm – 6:30 pm at St. Mark’s Episcopal (75 Cold Spring Road). 

Join Anil Saigal, a professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Tufts University, and Marc Zawel, author of Untangling the Ivy League, as they provide insight into how admissions decisions are made and what parents can do to improve their child’s chances. 

Appropriate for families of middle and high school students in grades 6– 12, you will learn:

• How college admissions offices review applications.
• Ways applicants can “stand out” and be more compelling and memorable.
• Why college admissions officers reject “brilliant but boring” applicants.
• What the most important factors are in admissions decisions.
• Bottom line actionable advice you can implement today to help your child.

JagoWorld Inc. non-profit institution devoted to providing educational opportunities for all students started its 7th academic year 2017-18 from 9/17/2017. JagoWorld’s Young Voices Club is a leadership and public speaking club for students grade one to twelve. Members of the club gain many benefits through the skills and connections cultivated by being a member. All members will learn to be leaders, regardless of their position in the club. Additionally, club members will gain tremendous public speaking skills, communication skills, and people skills.
