Jayateerth Mevundi is a highly acclaimed  and sought-after Hindustani Classical Vocalist.  An exponent of the Kirana Gharana, he is an exquisite vocalist of the exalted lineage of Bharat Ratna Pandit Bhimsen Joshi. Blessed with a melodious voice, Jayateerth has redefined the standard of excellence in the Hindustani classical, Santavaani and Daasavani music. Originally a student of Sangeet Ratna Pt. Arjunsa Nakod of the Gwalior Gharana, he continued his training with Pt. Shripati Padegar, a disciple of the great classical vocalist, Bharat Ratna Pandit Bhimsen Joshi. Jayateerth has performed extensively all over the world at many prestigious events like the Sawai Gandharva Sangeet Mahotsav, the Mysore Dasara Festival, the Kumar Gandharwa Music Conference, the Hari Vallabha Conference, the Tansen Samaroh, and many more. He has also received many awards and recognitions including the coveted SRA-Yuva Puraskar, and Young Maestro Award at the hands of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam (former president of India). We are proud to welcome him back to the US for another memorable concert.
