Shri Sant Gajanan Maharaj, Shegaon Mukhotgat Parayan In Boston

Shri   Gajanan   Maharaj   of   Shegaon,   was   a   supreme   saint   from   ‘Vidarbha’  region   of Maharashtra, India. HE appeared in Shegaon on 23rd February 1878 as a youngster and entered in ‘Maha-samadhi’ on 8th of September 1910 (Rishi Panchami, a day after Ganesh Chaturthi). In such a short period of 32 years,   HE   enlightened   many   people   by   his   legendary charisma. His devotees believe HIM as incarnation of Lord Dattatreya like Shri Swami Samartha (Akkalkot) and Sri Sai Baba (Shirdi). ‘Sant Shri Gajanan Maharaj Sansthan’ is the largest temple trust in the Vidarbha region which is very well known for its well disciplined, honest spiritual and social work in and around Shegaon which is mostly rural area. There is usually a very long waiting list for devotes all over India wanting to volunteer in the temple.‬

Shri. Gajanan Vijay Granth is the scripture on the life and purpose of the manifestation of Shri. Gajanan Maharaj written by Shri. DasGanu Maharaj a well known disciple of Sai Baba Shirdi. This text is widely believed to contain miraculous healing properties both spiritual as well as physical. Smt. Vidya Padwal, a adrent devotee of Shri Gajanan Maharaj  has received the blessing of memorizing the entire Gajanan Vijay Granth which has 3669 lines in 21 chapters. She will be giving Mukhotgat parayan (reading of the entire 21 chapter original text in Marathi language often referred as ‘pothi’ ) in about 10 cities in USA from April through June  where she recites the entire pothi written without referring it in an unique style of ‘Katha-Kathan’. She has given more than 300 parayan so far and is very well known for the unique way where she recreates the entire scene from Maharaj's time for her listeners. Her precious ‘Parayans’ is another miracle to many of the devotees.
